Planning, Curriculum, and Pedagogy

At ERCCA, we are deeply committed to supporting educators in their work with planning, curriculum, and pedagogy. Our approach is grounded in reflection, relationships, and a shared commitment to ongoing learning.

Guided by our Director of Pedagogy, the Pedagogical Team works collaboratively with programs to support day-to-day practices while nurturing continuous learning across our organization.

Our Pedagogical Team

Director of Pedagogy

Provides overall vision and leadership for pedagogy across ERCCA. This role holds the pedagogical vision across ERCCA by creating space for reflection, dialogue, and ongoing learning. Through this work, a shared value is built around meaningful, inclusive, and responsive care for children and families.

Pedagogical Coaches

Engage in regular program visits, working alongside educators to support ongoing learning and strengthen their ability to respond to children’s needs and well-being. Through observation, conversation, and reflective practices, pedagogical coaches support educators in making children’s learning visible, strengthening practices of relationships, and creating responsive environments that foster children’s well-being and participation within the programs.

Curriculum Coaches

Partner with educators to co-imagine curriculum planning that honours children’s curiosity and learning through play. Through collaboration, planning and thoughtful resources, this role supporting educators in bringing their curriculum ideas to life in ways that are meaningful and playful to enrich children’s experiences.

Across all of these practices, our intention is to make children’s learning visible, foster shared understanding, and strengthen the relationships that support meaningful and responsive experiences.

For Families

You will receive learning stories that highlight your child’s play, growth, and experiences within our programs. You might engage with our podcast to extend ideas into everyday life, participate in our monthly family activities, or connect with educators and pedagogical coaches for resources and strategies that support your child’s learning and well-being at home.

For Community and Professional Partners

We welcome opportunities to connect, collaborate, and learn alongside one another. This may include exchanging ideas, engaging in conversations about practice, or working together to support children, families, and educators within our shared community.
