All About Us
The Edmonton Region Child Care Association is a not for profit registered charity childcare facility that has been in operation since 1985.
The Board of Directors is comprised of volunteer parents from our child care program who meet, approximately 10 times a year, to guide the direction of the centre through policy development and strategic planning.
Parents are always welcome to attend monthly board meetings and, if interested, may be elected as a member of our board at our Annual General Meeting, held in the fall.
Annual General Meeting
Every family registered in our child care programs automatically becomes a member of the Edmonton Region Child Care Association. One of the responsibilities of membership is attendance at the Association’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) in the fall of each year. We must meet attendance quotas in order to pass important motions at the AGM. Your presence at the AGM is a valuable part of the governance of the centre. Childcare and supper are provided.
As well, we receive generous support for our organization by holding a two day volunteer casino fundraiser once every two years. This event must be staffed by parent members and their families. All funds raised go back into supporting and enhancing our Child Care Programs.
Members are comprised of families within our Association and volunteer in the roles of:

Positions are held for one term (two years) up to a maximum of two terms (four years).
