All About Us

Welcome to ERCCA Jan Reimer! We are located inside Jan Reimer School, providing a roll away out of school care program to Grades 1 to 6 children.

Our program takes inspiration from Loris Malaguzzi and the Reggio Emilia educational philosophy. We proudly have a diverse team of educators from different teachings and learning experiences that makes up our childcare family! Our programming is based off the interests of our children and is enhanced by the Alberta Curriculum Framework for Early Learning and Child Care.

Our Philosophy

Children…need most of the same things adults need– consideration, respect for their work, the knowledge that they and the things they do are taken seriously.

– Caroline Pratt –

We must credit the child with enormous potential and the children must feel that trust. The teacher must give up all preconceived notions and accept the child as a co-constructor

– Loris Malaguzzi –
